Christine was a skilled leader whose authenticity and kindheartedness welcomed everyone to bring their whole selves to this reflective time. Her engaging morning talks and thoughtful evening meditations opened up stories from the Bible and put them in conversation with the stories of our own lives. People who didn’t know each other at all on Sunday departed on Friday as friends, even though conversation was minimal. One after another, retreatants commented how they were looking forward to next time.
